Whether you’re a one man band or a marketing agency with more clients than you can count, managing content effectively and making sure that the appropriate content goes out at the right time is key to an effective social media marketing strategy.

Sendible’s Scheduled and Queued views do provide some insight as to what you have going out and when. Our Content Calendar take this to the next level, allowing you to effectively to manage your efforts between and scheduled posts whether it is on just one or multiple user accounts. What does this mean? Well, not only will it save you a great deal of time, but it can also help you hit a home run with your content marketing.

And here is an example...

Let’s look at an example to illustrate this. Say you have two team members managing a client’s campaign, and the relevant posts for that campaign are added to multiple queues and scheduled on both of the team members’ accounts. Trying to get a clear picture of the overall campaign impact or what adjustments should be made to ensure targets are met could be very challenging. Enter the Overview option on the Calendar, and voila! Easily select multiple user scheduled messages and multiple queues (even filtering by one particular Facebook Page or Twitter account) and you can pinpoint any issues or decide where to add additional content with ease. Result? More holistic reporting and a greater understanding of the effectiveness of your campaigns. And let’s face it, a happier client.

If you aren’t an agency, but are managing social media by yourself for a company or for your own company, you may find that you don’t have as much time as you’d like to spend on your social media presence. If your strategy has been to generally schedule messages to repeat, or utilize the recycling feature for Queues, the Calendar can add value here too. It can help you decide when best to post your unique posts (the ones that take a little more of your time to put together) so that you can ensure your audience is kept engaged. You will avoid them feeling that the only updates you make are ones that they have already seen before.

Since you can also schedule posts directly into the Calendar by clicking on an empty space, you can even use it to schedule all your future posts by day, week or month. Even better, you can easily tweak and update the calendar dates and times. Change the date by dragging and dropping the scheduled posts effortlessly, or click on the post you want to edit to bring it into the Compose box where you can edit the content and the time.

The Calendar really is one of the most, if not THE most important tool in your Sendible toolbox. Make sure you’re not missing out on any of its functionality by reading how to view and use the calendar.

As if that wasn’t enough, we will also be adding more features to the Calendar in the future. We understand that a proper Calendar is an indispensable tool for our users, so keep an eye out for these. If you have any suggestions you can let us know by submitting a feature request through our feature request form.

In the meantime, happy scheduling!
